The city
The city of Dresden will enchant you with its mix of modern city life, baroque old town and diverse nature. The urban area is located on both sides of the River Elbe – connected by several bridges. Dresden not only offers numerous cultural, sporting and tourist activities, but its location also allows you to discover the neighboring Czech Republic. Exploring several countries during your study visit – Dresden makes it possible!

Public transport

The city
Situated on the River Exe, Exeter combines the delights of vast nature and an active city life. Highlights of the city are undoubtedly the cathedral, the Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery and Exeter’s Underground Passages. For those who also want to be physically active, cycling, climbing, walking and water sports guarantee plenty of fun. Want to know a fun fact? Exeter was designated a UNESCO City of Literature in 2019. There is even a vending machine at St David’s station selling books around the clock. Cool, right?

Public transport
An important pillar of public transport in Exeter is the train service. From the major train stations “Exeter Central Station” and “St. David’s Station”, trips to numerous major cities in the United Kingdom are possible. A trip to London, for example, takes around two and a half hours.

The University of Exeter offers around 300 societies in which students can get involved in their free time. As the capital of the United Kingdom and residence of the monarchy, London is a vibrant metropolis on the western edge of Europe. Among the highlights of this city, you will find the iconic Ferris wheel “London Eye”, the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace. You also shouldn’t miss out on a Warner Bros. studio tour – at least if you’re a Harry Potter fan. If you want to take it easy, you can also explore London on a boat trip across the River Thames. The Consortium …
… will select a suitable insurance policy that is 100% compliant with the minimum requirements of the Granting Authority for students. The MIPDaL Coordinator will conclude the insurance for all students for the remaining time of the study programme. The minimum requirements for student insurances for scholarship holders as given by the EACEA for EMJM programs will be followed. The costs are covered by the consortium income (student tuition and EACEA funding).
